Be Yourself!

Be Yourself!

Be strong enough to face the world each day.

Be weak enough to know you cannot do everything.

Be generous to those who need your help.

Be frugal with what you need yourself.

Be wise enough to know that you do not know everything.

Be foolish enough to believe in miracles.

Be willing to share your joys.

Be willing to share the sorrows of others.

Be a leader when you see a path others have missed.

Be a follower when you are shrouded in the midst of uncertainty.

Be the first to congratulate an opponent who succeeds.

Be the last to criticize a colleague who fails.

Be sure where your next step will fall, so that you will not stumble.

Be sure of your final destination, in case you are going the wrong way.

Be loving to those who love you.

Be loving to those who do not love you, and they may change.

 Most of all, BE YOUSELF!

Hi, I enjoy reading your spiritual thoughts quite a bit and hope that you will continue on. Moreover, you have a gift for presenting your spiritual thoughts in an elegant and aesthetic visual way that I appreciate.

What you have written here is very rational and as you, I hope that others will understand that one does not have to have a complex mind to create a peaceful condition in one’s heart. The question is always this: How can we pacify the violent and intolerant ones? IMHO, we must start when the human being is small. Education is critical. If we start when the child begins to take the first steps and create the peaceful context for their lives then it should be possible.

The source of violence, what is it? There is the violence of the voice which betrays inner peacefulness. There is the violence of the media and sports that stimulate passions. There is no understanding of the mentally disturbed mind. We need to be acutely aware of what is in harmony with everyone and what will cause verbal lashing and physically violent touching. It is necessary to understand this not only on a psychological level but also in the context of the functions of the physical body.

It is important then, to educate the child to gain a high grasp of the human being — physically and mentally so they are capable of obtaining a level of a peaceful philosophy. Violence takes place when there is no support for the peace context in the community.
