Attributes of The Angels Of Allah

This Post Is Especially For The Little Ummati’s (The Children)

Attributes of The Angels Of Allah

They are honourable and obedient to Allah

Almighty Allah has described the angels as being honourable and obedient:

 بِأَيْدِي سَفَرَةٍكِرَامٍ بَرَرَةٍ

“The Quran being Carried] by the hands of messengers (angels) noble and dutiful.” (Surah Abasa 80:15-16)

Allah has described these angels as being “honourable and obedient”, i.e., He has created them honourable, good and noble. Their actions are obedient, pure and perfect. The one who learns the Quran by heart should be one whose actions and words are proper and correct.Rasulullah (SAW) said: “The one who reads the Quran and recites it perfectly will be with the honourable scribes (angels) and the one who reads the Quran and tries his best, and it is hard for him, will have his reward doubled.” (Al-Bukhari)

Now children, would you not like to be like the Angels of Allah? Do your best to be obedient to Allah, follow the Sunnah of our beloved Rasulullah (SAW), and listen to mummy and daddy, or if you call them by the Islamic terms Abbi and Ammi, oh yes I know sometimes you are not going to like what they say, but remember they do know what is right for you .*smile*

They are modest:

Among the attributes of the angels mentioned by Rasulullah (SAW) is their modesty. Ayesha (RA) said that Rasulullah (SAW) was lying down in his house with his thigh or his shin uncovered. Abu Bakr (RA) asked for permission to come in and he let him in and spoke with him whilst he was in that state. Then Umar (RA) asked for permission to come in, and he let him in and spoke with him whilst he was in that state. Then Uthman (RA) asked for permission to come in, and Rasulullah (SAW) sat up and rearranged his garment, then he let him come in and spoke with him. When he left, Ayesha (RA) said: “Abu Bakr came in, and you did not stir or pay too much attention. Then Umar came in, and you did not stir or pay too much attention. Then Uthman came in, and you sat up and fixed your garment.” He said, “How could I not feel shy of a man of whom the angels feel shy?” (Muslim)

Khadijah said Rasulullah (SAW): “can you inform me the next time your companion (i.e. Jibraeel) comes to you?” He said: “Indeed”. She said: “Tell me if he comes.” Later, when Rasulullah (SAW) was with her once, Jibraeel came to him. Seeing him, Rasulullah (SAW) said to Khadijah: “O Khadijah, here comes Jibraeel.” She said: “Do you see him now?” He answered in the affirmative. She said: “Come and sit on my right side.” Rasulullah (SAW) came and sat on her right side. Then she said: “Do you see him now?” Rasulullah (SAW) said: “Yes”. Then she asked Rasulullah (SAW) to sit in her lap. When he did, she asked him: “Do you still see him?” He again said: “Yes.” Then she uncovered her head while Rasulullah (SAW) was still sitting in her lap and said: “Do you still see him?” He said: “No” She said: “He is not a devil; he is nothing but an angel …” (Al-Bayhaqi)

Jibraeel disappeared when Khadijah uncovered her head shows that angels are modest and bashful.

Oh how we would love the Angels of Allah around us, hmmm so that would mean covering our hair is really important …. Girls we could start wearing the scarf at 7 years old, boys you could start wearing the toupee or hat. At times it will seem soooooooooo hot, but we must keep in mind we would love Allah’s Angels around us *smile*

Ps… it important to cover your hair as well when you eat… who wants food to get on our hair on hair in our food *wink*

They are able to take on different forms:

Almighty Allah has given the angels the ability to take on forms different from their own. Allah sent Jibraeel to Maryam (mother of Isa) in human form, as Allah told us:

“And mention, (O Muhammad), in the Book (the story of) Maryam, when she withdrew from her family to a place toward the east. And she took, in seclusion from them, a screen. Then We sent to her Our Angel (i.e. Jibraeel), and he represented himself to her as a well-proportioned man. She said, “Indeed, I seek refuge in the Most Merciful from you, (so leave me), if you should be fearing of Allaah.” He said, “I am only the messenger of your Lord to give you (news of) a pure boy (i.e. Son.)” (Surah Maryam 19:16-19)
The angels came to Ibrahim (AS) as well in human form, and he did not know that they were angels until they told him who they really were:

فَلَمَّا رَأَىٰ أَيْدِيَهُمْ لَا تَصِلُ إِلَيْهِ نَكِرَهُمْ وَأَوْجَسَ مِنْهُمْ خِيفَةً ۚ قَالُوا لَا تَخَفْ إِنَّا أُرْسِلْنَا إِلَىٰ قَوْمِ لُوطٍ“And certainly did Our messengers (i.e. angels) come to Ibrahim (Abraham) with good tidings; they said, “Peace.” He said, “Peace,” and did not delay in bringing [them] a roasted calf. But when he saw their hands not reaching for it, he distrusted them and felt from them apprehension. They said, “Fear not. We have been sent to the people of Lot.” (Surah Hud11:70)
The angels of Allah came to the Prophet Lot in the form of young men with handsome faces and he was grieved on account of them and feared that they may be harmed by his people, for they were an evil people who committed evil actions. Almighty Allah Say:
وَلَمَّا جَاءَتْ رُسُلُنَا لُوطًا سِيءَ بِهِمْ وَضَاقَ بِهِمْ ذَرْعًا وَقَالَ هَـٰذَا يَوْمٌ عَصِيبٌ

“And when Our messengers, (the angels), came to Lot, he was anguished for them and felt for them great discomfort and said, “This is a trying day.'” (Surah Hud 11:77)
Jibraeel used to come to Rasulullah (SAW) in different forms. Sometimes he came in the form of Duhyah Ibn Khaleefah Al-Kalbi (a companion who was of handsome appearance), and sometimes in the form of a Bedouin.
Many of the Prophet’s companions saw him when he came in that form.

“Ohhh kids how much of fun would it have been if we too could change our forms?? But Allah has honored us and made us in the best of His creation, humans, yes kids that is correct we are the best of creation. Sure we are not as good as the angels, because we commit many sins, like, fighting, swearing, telling lies and doing things many things which we know Allah would not like, *sad*, the best and beautiful part is, that if we ask Allah with all our heart and very sincere that Allah forgives us and that we take a promise to learn from our mistakes and to try never ever to do wrong again, Allah will Inshallah forgive us *smile* because Allah loves you and I soooooooooo much  *smile*…”

“Inshallah you are all having a great super duper ramadhaan, please remember the Ummah in your duas.”
