To Read The Quraan

7 reasons to read the QURAAN:

1) Inimitable: It dares you to disprove it. How? It says that humans cannot write a book like this even if they pooled all their resources together and got help also from the spirits. The Noble Qur’an said this 1,400 years ago and yet no one has been able to disprove it. Billions of books have been written, but not another one like the Qur’an.

2) Incorruptible: It is the only religious sacred writing that has been in circulation for such a long time and yet remains as pure as it was in the beginning. The Qur’an was kept intact. Nothing was added to it; nothing was changed in it; and nothing was taken away from it ever since its revelation was completed.

3) Unsurpassable: The Qur’an is Allah’s final revelation to humankind. Allah revealed the Torah to Moosa (AS), the Zaboor (Psalms) to Dawud (AS), Injeel (Gospel) to Isa (Jesus AS) and finally the Qur’an to Muhammed (SAW) Peace be upon Moosa, Dawud, Isa and Muhammed. No other book will come from Allah to surpass His final revelation.

4) Indisputable: The Qur’an withstands the test of time and scrutiny. No one can dispute the truth of this book. It speaks about past history and turns out right. It speaks about the future in prophecies and it turns out right. It mentions details of physical phenomena which were not known to people at the time; yet later scientific discoveries prove that the Qur’an was right all along. Every other book needs to be revised to accord with modern knowledge. The Qur’an alone is never contradicted by a newly discovered scientific fact.

5) Your Roadmap for Life and Afterlife: The Qur’an is the best guidebook on how to structure your life. No other book presents such a comprehensive system involving all aspects of human life and endeavor. The Qur’an also points out the way to secure everlasting happiness in the afterlife. It is your roadmap showing how to get to Paradise.

6) Allah’s Gift of Guidance: Allah has not left you alone. You were made for a reason. Allah tells you why He made you, what He demands from you and what He has in store for you. If you operate a machine contrary to its manufacturer’s specification you will ruin that machine. What about you? Do you have an owner’s manual for yourself? The Qur’an is from your Maker. It is a gift for you to make sure you function for success, lest you fail to function. It is a healing from Allah, It satisfies the soul, and cleans the heart. It removes doubts and brings peace.

7) Your Calling Card to Communicate with your Lord: Humans are social creatures. We love to communicate with other intelligent life. The Qur’an tells us how to communicate with the source of all intelligence and the source of all life – the One God. The Qur’an tells us who God is, by what name we should address Him, and the way in which to communicate with Him. Are these not seven sufficient points for reading the Qur’an?

“Oh Allah, I beg of Thee guidance, modesty, righteousness and freedom from want, Oh Allah, I beg of Thee sustenance that is clean, knowledge that is useful and conduct that is acceptable to Thee .Aameen.”

Durood Upon Rasulullah {SAW}

DUROOD UPON RASULULLAH (SAW)

Being bestowed with the mantle of Prophethood was a sublime honour of every apostle of Allah. However the honour granted to Rasulullah (SAW) supersedes the honour granted to any other prophet. This is apparent from many Aayat of the Noble Qur’an. Rasulullah (SAW) was promised a vast and extensive honour of recognition and remembrance in the following verse: “O Muhammad, we will raise for you your remembrance.”

Furthermore in a Hadith-e-Qudsi, Rasulullah (SAW) is promised to be remembered whenever Allah is remembered. Allah says: “O Muhammed (SAW), whenever I will be remembered you too will be remembered.” The fulfillment of this promise is explicit in many aspects of the Shariah and global means and avenues have been chosen for it.

VIRTUES OF DUROOD:

The books of Ahadith are replete with the virtues of sending Durood upon Rasulullah (SAW). The following are some of the numerous virtues.

l) It is narrated on the authority of Hazrat Anas (RA) that Rasulullah (SAW) said: “Whosoever sends one Durood upon me Allah will reward him by sending ten Durood upon the reciter, forgive ten of his sins and elevate his status ten times” (Ahmad).

2) Rasulullah (SAW) is reported to have said: “Whosoever sends one Durood upon me, Allah appoints an angel to send Durood upon the reciter till the day of Qiyamah” (Targheeb).

3) It is narrated on the authority of Ibn Mas’ood (RA) that Rasulullah (SAW) is reported to have said: “The people nearest to me on the day of Qiyamah will be those who abundantly send Durood upon me” (Tirmidhi).

4) It is reported on the authority of Hazrat Abu Darda (RA) that Rasulullah (SAW) is reported to have said: “Whosoever sends Durood upon me ten times in the morning and evening will receive my intercession on the day of Qiyamah” (Tibrani).

Every Believers ultimate wish and desire is to attain eternal success which, according the abovementioned Ahadith, can be achieved by sending Durood excessively upon Rasulullah (SAW).

SUMMARY OF THE VIRTUES OF DUROOD
MUHADDITH SHEIKH ABDUL HAQ DEHLAWI (RA):

1) Reciting Durood alleviates worldly difficulties.
2) It is a cure for many a sickness.
3) It grants refuge against enemies.
4) It increases wealth.
5) It creates a retentive memory.
6) It alleviates the pangs of death.
7) It creates unity in the hearts.
8) It is a means of shaking hands with Rasulullah (SAW) on the day of Qiyamah.
9) It is a means of getting the shade of the throne of Allah on the plains of Hasher (The plain on which mankind will be gathered on the day of Qiyamah).
10. It is a means of being remembered in the presence of Rasulullah (SAW) and being honored by getting the salaams of Rasulullah (SAW).

ADMONISHMENT AGAINST THOSE WHO FAIL TO SEND DUROOD:

1) It is narrated on the authority of Hazrat Kanab Ibn Ujra (RA) that on one occasion Rasulullah (SAW) said: “When I ascended on the second step of the pulpit, Hazrat Jibraeel (AS) said: “Curse be upon that person who hears your name and does not send Durood upon you. Upon this I said Aameen” (Al-Bukhari).

2) It is narrated on the authority of Hazrat Qatada (RA) that Rasulullah (SAW) said: “It is unjust of a person in whose presence my name is mentioned and he does not send Durood upon me” (Daarmi).

What doubt can there be with regards to the destruction of that person who is cursed by Jibraeel (AS), especially when this is further intensified by the “AAMEEN” of Rasulullah (SAW).

“May Allah grant us the ability to excessively recite Durood upon Rasulullah (SAW). Aameen”
